Finally, the Chair allows to learn from scopes and complementary perspectives (academics, institutionals and others).

The kept topic for the summer school 2021 of the Chair.

The chosen topic for the summer school 2021, the circular economy, makes echo to shared objectives in the Chair, in particular work for the green transition of operations, accompagny the strategy of sustainable development in the reorganization and deepen the mastering of CO2 reduction lever.

The circularity topic is part of the big prospective topics for the supply chain of the future and used many levers as: green legislation, economic incentives, awareness of public and clients, change of consumerism methods, extra-financial criteria’s weight in the analysis of shareholders and financiers, …

The implementation of a circular economic model has an significative impact in the conception and management of the supply chain, particularly by integrating the use of products life end and the use of base material easier to recycle and/or recycled into the products.

The thinking axes proposed during the summer school are linked to the three great action sectors of the circular economy as defined by the ADEME:

  • Economic actors offer:
    –    Sustainable supplying
    –    Green-design
    –    Industrial and territorial ecology
    –    Feature economy
  • Requests and behaviors of the consumers.
    –    Responsible intake
    –    Increase of using time
  • Dishes management
    –    Recycling

The program of the meeting has articulated on the following lightings:

  • A topic scoping with Thierry Hommel, in charge of the Energetic Transition of Territory (ETT) Master at school of Ponts Paristech, which came back on teaching in term of industrial economy territorial (EIT).
  • A regulatory lighting of the WRP (Wide responsibility of producers) and of the actuality of AGEC law of 02/10/2020, with Jacques Vernier, considered as one of the specialists of the circular economy topic in France and writer of a report which has prepared the reform of widen responsibility branch for productors.
  • The feedbacks of Hervé de Maistre, president of the Valobat’s committee, about the initiation of a multi-materails eco-organism dedicated to building.
  • The feedbacks of Esther Finidori, Green VP at Schainder Electric, about the strategy of the company in terms of circular economy.
  • Teh feedbacks of a start-up with circular economy missions, with Sophie Pignères, funder of Weturn.

A prospective workshop was also organized to this opportunity with the four Chair’s partners and a group of student from th school of Ponts Paristech, in order to think together about the “supply chain models in 2050” on the approach of “core competencies”.

The 4 Chair’s partners have also shared tens of using cases and projects effectively initiated by their supply chain teams about circular economy, dealing with packaging, recycling, up-cycling, or reparation launched pad.

Generally, among the summer school 2021 teaching, more than sharing circularity initiatives, the conclusion has been about the necessity of developing new economic models but also keep going into an ecosystem involving many stakeholders (Collectivities / Partners / Sectors / Suppliers / Open Innovation Incubators / Research & Academic).
