What are the future challenges for your supply chain?

partenaire 2023-2028

The future challenges facing the supply chain of the future are multiple and strategically crucial. First and foremost, we need to pay greater attention to upstream supply chain management, with a focus on industrial planning, procurement, and risk management. Lessons learned from recent crises, especially the COVID-19 pandemic and the shortage of electronic components, underline the importance of strengthening operational resilience. At the same time, sustainability must be a central priority, with environmental concerns to be taken systematically into account in logistics choices. We also need to consider the key role our businesses must play in the circular economy, by promoting the reuse, repair and recycling of products. Digitization and the growing adoption of artificial intelligence in operational processes represent essential levers for improving visibility and collaboration within supply chains. And finally, flexibility and agility remain imperatives, requiring the design of supply chains able to adapt rapidly to market changes. Taken together, these issues define our vision for a supply chain that is robust, sustainable, and ready to meet the challenges of the future.

Why are you involved in the Supply Chain of the Future Chair?

Argon and Co wishes to actively contribute to the ecosystem of researchers, industrials and students, which is supported by the Chair of Ecole des Ponts, by providing in particular its expertise as well as its facilitation capabilities, under three strong ambitions:

  • The importance of sharing - in a climate of trust - on such strategic subjects.
  • The need to contribute to the debate on sustainable development issues, which require collective investment.
  • The importance of training the next generation of industrial and supply engineering managers at Ecole des Ponts and within companies.

The Chair "Supply Chain of the Future" and its ecosystem of researchers, manufacturers and students are a fantastic opportunity for Argon & Co to accelerate innovations, particularly around decarbonization and AI, in which we are already involved. We will be bringing our expertise to the Chair, as well as our ability to facilitate and consolidate the work carried out together.
