January 25, 2024

The Chair « Supply Chain of the Future » was renewed on January 25th, 2024, at the Maison des Ponts, in the presence of Anthony Briant, Director of École des Ponts ParisTech, Thierry DUCLAUX, Chairman of the Foundation of École des Ponts, Vincent Barale, Supply Chain and Logistics Director for Louis Vuitton, Marine Graham, Supply Chain Director for DECATHLON,  Pierre Martin Huet, Supply Chain Director for Michelin, Denis Le Vot, Chief Supply Chain Officer of Renault Group and Yvan Salamon, Chairman and Founder of Argon & Co.

The event provided an opportunity to exchange views with the attending journalists.

The audience had the opportunity to discuss the major challenges facing operations and the supply chain function within the Chair's partner companies, and the key role that such a Chair can play in anticipating, innovating, training and supporting the development of collective solutions for a successful transition.

The activities of this second phase of the Chair's renewal are structured around its 3 main historical axes:

  • Innovate: with post-doctoral research projects focusing on common themes between the Chair's partners, carried out by various laboratories of École des Ponts.
  • Training: with a wide range of activities involving students and the partners' professional teams. In particular, through educational projects proposed by the partners to multi-specialty students at École des Ponts.
  • Sharing: through an annual calendar of experience sharing seminars between the partners, on all the issues addressed by the Chair, and the production of collaborative content.

On this occasion, the Director of École des Ponts ParisTech, Anthony Briant, underlined the school's commitment to the Chair's ecosystem, and more generally to the challenges of transition and sustainable transformation of our economies and societies: « I am delighted with the signing of this Chair renewal and the trust placed by our industry partners in the expertise of École des Ponts ParisTech. Successfully decarbonizing our economies and reducing the environmental impact of our lifestyles means that we can build, through demanding dialogue with companies, innovations that transform their practices, and give our engineering students the enthusiasm to get involved in developing the industrial processes of tomorrow, while considering the planet's limits. That's what this type of chair is all about! » - Anthony Briant, Director of École des Ponts ParisTech.
